Salvia sclarea
Biennial plant with bush habit. We recommend placing it somewhere you regularly walk by so that you can take its incredible scent. Has hairy silver green leaves and produces delicate small lavender flowers. The leaf bracts are delicate purple to mauve pinks creating a dramatic display. Great as a border plant. Commonly used in aromatherapy. Clary sage will not bloom until the second season creating a rosette of leaves the first year. After established it is a short lived perennial surviving for about 3 years in the garden. Will self sow.
