Heirloom. Tender butterhead that blushes pink to brown-bronze and good blanching in the center. Frank Morton of Wild Garden Seed kept this Canadian heirloom from near extinction. One of the reasons we loved it was tender succulent leaves and ability to hold in the field over a long period. Can be harvested at any stage, at full maturity produces large dense heads.
